Early in the morning, our camel man will wake us up to watch the best sunrise one can see in a lifetime. Afterwards, we will peacefully camel-trek back to the village of Merzouga. Along the way we will appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi golden dunes – changing their tans with the light as the day progresses. After breakfast in the Riad, we will head to Rissani, Tinghir, and Todra gorges - the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco. Here we will have the option to hike for an hour within the valley, where you will meet locals and learn about the culture and geography. After lunch in the heart of the gorge, we will continue to the Dades Valley, where we will see the majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as "monkey toes". Overnight accommodation will be at Dades gorge hotel.
Dades Valley - Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou - Tiz n’Tichka Pass - Marrakech.
In the morning, we will continue along the "Route of a 1000 Kasbahs" to Ouarzazate where we will take our lunch break. On the way to Marrakesh, we will encounter the fascinating beauty of the village of Ait Ben Haddou. This village encloses a wonderful collection of Kasbahs (a type of fortresses used to protect the locals from foreign attacks). Carefully restored over the years and now classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is considered one of the best-preserved Kasbah villages in Morocco. Few families still call the Kasbah their home, but the majority of locals have gradually moved to the nearby cities. During our visit to the Kasbah, we will dive in the narrow, winding passageways and feel the fairylike atmosphere of this incredible structure. Then, we will continue via the spectacular Tizi - Ntichka Pass before descending the charming mountain villages, dense woods and green fields to the yellowish-brown coloured city of Marrakesh..
